Directions

From Points North

• Take 95 South to Route 4.
• Take Route 4 South to Route 1.
• Take Route 1 South to Wakefield exit.
• Turn right off exit ramp.
• At second traffic light, turn right onto Route 108 and go 3/4 mile.
• After you pass Scallop Shell Nursing Home and "The Oaks," make a right turn into library parking lot.

From Points South

• Take Route 1 North.
• A mile or so past the Jerry Brown Farm exit, take Wakefield exit from the left lane.
• You will now be on Route 1 South for a very short distance, take first exit.
• This leads you to Main Street, Wakefield.
• At first traffic light, turn left onto Columbia Street.
• At the second stop sign after South Kingstown High School, turn right.
• You will see the library on your left, turn left into library parking lot.

From Aquidneck Island

• Take Newport and Jamestown bridges.
• When you get off Jamestown Bridge, take Route 138 Connector straight across to Route 1 (a few miles).
• Take Westerly exit off connector, which puts you on Route 1 South.
• Follow Route 1 South to the first Wakefield Exit.
• From there, follow directions from in "From Points North" above.

From Western Rhode Island

• Take Route 138 East.
• Follow it to Route 1 South.
• From there, follow directions from in "From Points North" above.

Directions

From Providence and Points North

• Take 95 South.
• Get in left lanes after Warwick exits.
• Take Route 4 South.
• Route 4 becomes Route 1 South.
• Pass by Newport and Jamestown exit.
• Follow Route 1 South to junction with 138 West/University of Rhode Island.
• Turn right at the lights there and follow 138 West to second set of lights.
• This is the entrance to the University.
• The Kingston Free Library is on your right on this corner.

From Points East

From Points South & West

• Take Route 95 and take the Route 138 East exit.
• Stay on Route 138 East for about 10 miles.
• You will go over a railroad bridge and through West Kingston village.
• Then take a left at the second traffic light, onto Upper College Road.
• This is also the entrance to the University of Rhode Island.
• The Kingston Free Library is on your right as you turn the corner.

Parking is available along Upper College Road. There is also a small lot across from the library, your very first left as you turn onto Upper College Road Entrance to the library is in the rear of the building. Library is handicapped accessible.

Directions

From Points North

• Take Route 95 South to Route 4.
• Follow Route 4 till it joins Route 1 South.
• Continue on Route 1 South.
• Some exits you will pass by include Wakefield, Narragansett, Jerry Brown Farm, and Snug Harbor.
• After the Snug Harbor exit, stay in the right lane and watch for the Route 110 exit.
• Shortly before that exit, you will see the library logo sign and the parking lot, Turn in there. (If you miss it, take the next left lane exit off the highway and turn around.)

From Connecticut and Points South

• Take 95 North to exit 92 in Connecticut.
• At bottom of ramp, turn right onto Route 2 South.
• In about 2 miles, go right onto Route 78 (Westerly Bypass).
• This will end at Route 1.
• Turn left onto Route 1 North.
• After about 15 miles, look for Matunuck Beach Road Exit.
• Do not take this exit, but get into left lane and take the next one (unnamed) to get onto Route 1 South.
• You will need to cross over to the breakdown lane and you will see the library entrance just ahead.

From Western Rhode Island

• Take Route 138 East to Route 110.
• Turn right onto Route 110 and follow it all the way to the end.
• This puts you on Route 1 South.
• You will need to get in left lane and exit so you are traveling on Route 1 north.
• Watch for Matunuck Beach Road Exit.
• Do not take this exit, but get into left land and take the next one (unnamed) to get onto Route 1 South.
• You will need to cross over to the breakdown lane and you will see the library entrance just ahead.
