Facilities

Saugatucket Park borders Wakefield Elementary School and serves as play space for the school as well as a community park. The park consists on open green space, basketball court, and a war memorial. The park is scheduled to be renovated as part of the Saugatucket River Walkway Project. The renovation plans include new walkways, upgraded basketball court, historic fence along High Street, planting beds, river overlooks, and a connection to the South County Bike Path.
