Facilities

Brousseau Park was constructed in 1970 by the Snug Harbor - East Matunuck Civic Assocation as a memorial for William Brousseau. The civic association donated the park to the Town in 1976. 

The park consists of a baseball field, soccer field, lighted tennis courts, small playground, basketball court, and parking. With the various athletic fields, the park serves not only the Matunuck area as a neighborhood park, but also as a community park for athletic competitions. A majority of the park was renovated in 1997 and the tennis courts were renovated in 2002.

Directions

From Points North

1. Take Route I-95 South to Exit 9 which will be Route 4 (left hand exit)
2. Route 4 will merge and become Route 1
3. Take left hand Succotash Road exit
4. Make a legal U-Turn which will put you on Route 1 North
5. Take right hand exit, Succotash Road
6. Brousseau Park is one-quarter of a mile on your left

From Points South

1. Take I-95 North to Exit 92, right at end of exit
2. Follow this road until you see Rt. 78 on your right (about 1 mile)
3. Take Route 78 to the end, take a left hand turn onto Route 1 (you will see Stop & Shop to your left)
4. Follow Route 1 for about 20 miles to Succotash Road exit
5. Take Succotash Road exit
6. Brousseau Park is about one quarter of a mile on your left
